My Journey of Faith and Music in Scotland

When I arrived in Scotland in 2023, I was filled with a mix of emotions - excitement to start a new chapter, but also uncertainty about what the future held. I brought with me not only decades of musical experience, but also an unwavering passion to serve and uplift others through my music. As I settled into life in Aberdeen, I was grateful for the opportunity to contribute to new communities and share my passion for worship with others. I hoped that my presence might bring a little encouragement and inspiration to those around me.

Building New Bridges in Worship

As I settled into life in Aberdeen, I was grateful for the opportunity to contribute to new communities and share my passion for worship with others. At Lovebridge Community Church, I was blessed to be part of the choir, where I could help nurture young vocalists and musicians through weekly rehearsals, vocal workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions. Through music, I hoped to help the congregation experience deeper connections with God during worship services.

Global Stage, Local Impact

Although I had shared stages with popular gospel artists, I found equal fulfillment serving on local platforms. Highlights from my journey include leading praise at the Peniel Conference at RCCG Jesus House, Aberdeen - where worshipers from across Scotland gathered in unity - and bringing spirit-filled music to the African Praise 10th Edition in Glasgow. Each event offered a chance for cultural exchange and spiritual renewal, fostering community among believers from diverse backgrounds.

Music as a Means of Outreach

My heart for outreach found new expressions in Scotland. Partnering with foundations like Mamacita, I participated in charity events aimed at supporting marginalized groups. I regularly volunteered in care homes, where my voice brought not just melodies but genuine comfort to elderly residents, many of whom found solace and renewed hope through my worship sessions.

Championing the Next Generation

As I reflect on my journey, I realize that I've been blessed to share my experiences with others. I've started informal mentorship programs for aspiring worship leaders and drummers, hoping to pass on some of the lessons I've learned along the way. My aim is to empower the next generation of gospel musicians with practical skills and a deeper understanding of the spiritual discipline required to lead worship effectively. Through these youth workshops, I hope to make a positive impact on Scotland's emerging gospel talent.

Looking Ahead: A Legacy of Praise

For me, Scotland is more than a new chapter - it's a platform to unleash new sounds and inspire transformation. Looking ahead, I remain committed to spreading the gospel through innovative music projects, cross-cultural concerts, and continued partnership with churches and charities across the UK and beyond. My journey is a testament to the boundless reach of worship, and as I frequently remind both audiences and mentees: Wherever God sends us, our song becomes a bridge - connecting hearts to His love.
